Our Story

In a disconnected world, it’s natural to feel out of balance. Inspired by New Zealand’s native bird, the world’s only alpine parrot, curious, adaptable, and resilient despite its threatened existence, the kea is our symbol of Compassionate Strength™.

During the pandemic, while working on the frontline, we noticed many people feeling disconnected. To support others meaningfully, we developed a daily practice of Kind Care and Kinder Awareness, expressed through the Kindest Action to build inner strength and sustain giving our attention to others. This practice benefited many New Zealanders, and from this lived experience, Kind Caller® and Compassionate Strength™ were born.

As accredited mindfulness facilitators, we share Compassionate Strength™ training as a relational, accessible and deeply human approach to resilience and wellbeing, a life skill anyone can cultivate in the present moment, not just when times are challenging.

Today, the kea continues to inspire us: curious, resilient, and playful, reminding us that Compassionate Strength™ is about being present, kind, caring, adaptable, courageous, and full of wonder — for ourselves, others, and the natural world.
