Mihi:
Ko Ngāti Ranginui, Ngāi Te Rangi, me Ngāti Pūkenga ngā mana whenua o Tauranga Moana.
We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the lands on which we live and work. We recognise Ngāti Ranginui, Ngāi Te Rangi, and Ngāti Pūkenga as the mana whenua in Tauranga Moana, and we honour their enduring connection to the land, sea, sky, and community. We pay our respects to elders past, present, and emerging. This acknowledgement reflects the ongoing relationship between people and nature, and aligns with the Māori concept of kaitiakitanga, the guardianship and care of the natural world. We are committed to supporting this worldview, recognising the deep wisdom of Māori environmental knowledge, in which wellbeing is inseparable from the health of the land and all living systems.
