Walking Alongside You
A Guided Journey.
Creating a personal learning space to explore, notice, and reflect.
Before beginning something new, it helps to pause and reflect on where we currently are. Our values-based learning approach offers quiet, layered support to help you reconnect, at your own pace, in your own way. Grounded in practices that honour mind, body, spirit, and environment, we walk alongside you gently and with care. This defines the scope of our services and programmes.

Access to Kind Caller
Wātea ki ngā ratonga
We offer a supportive, non-clinical approach to cultivating self-kindness. Before starting, we ask you to complete a Welcome Form to ensure our programmes are the right fit. Learn about our Review and Consent Process via our Welcome Form click here
Setting a self-kindness intention helps bring focus, care, and meaning to your learning experience.
We see self-kindness as a form of personal growth, not something to master, but something to deepen through ongoing reflection. Growth in this space isn’t about achieving more, it’s about becoming more connected with yourself.
2. Intention and Core Values
Intention
Kaupapa
A gentle way to arrive. This is a process of allowing yourself to name what feels important right now, a chance to open space for what matters most. Go deeper with intention click here.
Knowing our self-kindness programmes are grounded in evidence-informed practices and guided by self-compassion, mindfulness, and the wisdom of the natural world, we are able to offer gentle learning that supports reflection, personal growth, and connection. These are quiet practices for a disconnected world which are needed now more than ever.

Mindfulness-Informed Practice
Whakatau te hinengaro
Our approach is mindfulness-informed, drawing from the principles of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), developed by mindfulness teacher Dr Jon Kabat-Zinn. We offer space to slow down, notice gently, and respond with care rather than judgment. Please note Kind Caller is not affiliated with the official MBSR programme, read our Disclaimer.
We make our programmes accessible by offering them online and support your learning experience by email and phone, so you can engage in your own space, at your own pace, wherever you are. This helps remove common barriers like cost, travel, or time, making self-kindness more available to more people, more often.
3. Practice Foundations & Methodologies
Self-compassion-Informed Practice
Aroha ki a koe
Our work is inspired by self-compassion researcher Dr Kristin Neff, who says self-compassion (aroha ki a koe) includes mindfulness (whakatau te hinengaro), common humanity (te whanaungatanga), and self-kindness (atawhai i a koe anō). Of these, self-kindness is often the hardest to nurture, and that’s where Kind Caller begins, gently guiding you to grow care from within. Please note Kind Caller is not affiliated with the official MBSC programme, read our Disclaimer.
Nature-led
Te Taiao
We acknowledge Ranginui (Sky Father) and Papatūānuku (Earth Mother) as the first sacred relationship, reminding us we are part of a living, interconnected whole. Our programmes honour the wisdom and rhythm of the natural world. We learn from it and are gently led by it.
4. Programme Delivery
Kind Calls (Kind Connection)
Ngā Tono Ārahi Atawhai
Kind Calls offer a warm, human voice, not for advice or fixing, but simply to be alongside you in your learning journey. They gently support your self-kindness practice by creating space to slow down and notice with care.
This is an open invitation to go beyond the initial trial to practice mindfulness-based self-compassion during the Clear and Connected phases of the programme. Go deeper with Kind Calls click here.
Safety & Respect
Haumarutanga me te Manaakitanga
Kind Caller is a safe, respectful space that honours your pace and choices.
Here, you may explore self-kindness and mindfulness without judgment, with gentle support on your terms. We’re here to walk alongside you, kindly, patiently, and without pressure.
Holistic Wellbeing
Te Whare Tapa Whā
Our approach is informed by Te Whare Tapa Whā, a foundational Māori model of hauora (wellbeing) developed by Sir Mason Durie that nurtures balance between your wairua (spirit), hinengaro (mind), tinana (body), and whānau (connection) and land (whenua).
Personal Growth
Te tipu o roto
Self-kindness isn’t something to chase, it unfolds and ripples out. These quiet moments of guided reflection are here to support your attention and inner noticing. Go deeper with inner growth click here.
