Your Practice: A Beginner’s Guide♡
Starting something new can feel tricky, but Compassionate Strength™ isn’t about doing it perfectly, it’s about taking small, gentle moments. That’s what we’ll call Your Practice: a simple routine you can come back to anytime, helping you feel grounded, clear, and kind.
Pause and notice
Take a moment to check in with yourself.
What are you feeling right now — in your body, your mind, your heart?
What’s happening around you that might be affecting you?
Try to notice without judging yourself. This small pause is the first step in Your Practice, giving you a little space to breathe and see clearly.
Accept what is
Whatever you notice, let it be.
Acceptance doesn’t mean giving up or ignoring challenges.
It means allowing things to be as they are right now — your feelings, your situation — without pushing them away or criticizing yourself.
This step helps you feel calm and ready to respond thoughtfully.
Respond with care
Now, ask yourself:
What’s one small way I can care for myself right now?
How can I respond to this situation in a kind and grounded way?
It might be a deep breath, a gentle word to yourself, or a small boundary. Whatever it is, this is Your Practice in action.
Reflect briefly
Take a moment to notice how it felt:
Did you feel a little lighter, calmer, or more connected?
What worked, and what might you try next time?
Even a quick reflection helps strengthen Your Practice and makes it easier to return to it tomorrow.
Tips for starting out
Keep it small: One pause a day is enough to begin.
Be gentle: Your Practice is a skill that grows with time.
Forgive yourself if you forget — just notice and come back.
In short: Your Practice — noticing, accepting, responding with care, and reflecting — is your first pathway toward Compassionate Strength™. Little by little, it helps you stay grounded, clear, and kind to yourself and others.
