We believe kindness includes clarity, knowing where we begin, where we pause, and how we care for each other along the way. This page sets out what we offer, what we don’t, and how we protect your experience as a learner.

1. What We Offer

Kind Caller provides self-paced, self-guided, and gently guided in-app online learning in self-kindness and mindfulness.

Our non-clinical educational self-kindness journeys and experiences are designed to:

  • Encourage personal reflection and everyday wellbeing

  • Support emotional safety, slowness, and inner awareness

  • Be accessible to anyone seeking a more human, connected way to grow

2. What We Are Not

Kind Caller is not a health or mental health service under New Zealand law. We do not provide:

  • Counselling

  • Therapy

  • Clinical advice or diagnosis

  • Crisis support or intervention

Our journeys are educational and non-clinical. They are not a replacement for medical care or therapeutic support.

3. About Kind Guides

A Kind Guide (also known as a Kind Caller) is a non-clinical facilitator and compassionate educator trained in mindfulness, self-kindness practices, and compassionate communication. They:

  • Support your learning and reflection

  • Offer guided practices or gentle check-ins

  • Do not offer therapy, medical advice, or crisis care

  • Are not registered health professionals

4. Emergency Support

If you are in distress or become distressed, or unsure about your safety or wellbeing, please reach out to professional support.

📞 Call or text 1737 – Free 24/7 mental health support (NZ)
📞 Dial 111 – In emergencies

5. Cultural Safety & Honouring Te Ao Māori

Kind Caller is grounded in the belief that wellbeing is holistic.

We support Te Whare Tapa Whā and encourage you to involve your whānau, hapū, iwi, or cultural/community supports in your wellbeing journey. While we are informed by a Māori worldview, we do not speak on behalf of all Māori, and we deeply respect the diversity of voices, tikanga, and experiences within Te Ao Māori. We are committed to learning from and alongside others with openness, and care.

Kind Caller respects all worldviews.

Our work is grounded in inclusivity and compassion, recognising that everyone’s journey is different. We’re committed to creating space for growth, connection, and care, no matter your beliefs or background.
