Acknowledgement

E mihi ana mātou ki a Ranginui rāua ko Papatūānuku, me ngā mana whenua o Tauranga Moana. E mihi ana hoki ki ngā tūpuna o mua, o nāianei, me ngā uri kei te heke mai.

We acknowledge Ranginui and Papatūānuku.

We acknowledge the mana whenua of Tauranga Moana.

We acknowledge ancestors past, present, and those yet to come.

We acknowledge the caring voice that first influenced this work, and the one who helped deepen our understanding of the beauty and wisdom of Te Ao Māori.

We recognise the natural world is not something separate from us, but something we are already part of.
