Mihi

Acknowledgement

Ko Ngāti Ranginui, Ngāi Te Rangi, me Ngāti Pūkenga ngā mana whenua o Tauranga Moana.

We recognise Ngāti Ranginui, Ngāi Te Rangi, and Ngāti Pūkenga as the mana whenua of Tauranga Moana. We honour their enduring connection to the land, sea, sky, and community, and we pay our respects to elders past, present, and emerging.
We walk alongside the practice of kaitiakitanga, caring for and protecting the natural world in a way that cares for us too. We honour the deep wisdom of mātauranga Māori, where the wellbeing of people and the health of nature are one and the same.
