About Us
We support you to build a stronger, more compassionate relationship with yourself, others and the natural world.
Our work is grounded in the belief that wellbeing isn’t about “fixing” what’s wrong, it’s about understanding what’s happening, responding with care and staying connected to what matters. We facilitate slowing down, reflecting, and developing the awareness practices needed to navigate moments with care.
-
Our approach is informed by Te Whare Tapa Whā, a holistic Māori model of wellbeing developed by Sir Mason Durie.
Te Whare Tapa Whā describes wellbeing as a wharenui (house) supported by four interconnected walls: Taha Tinana (physical wellbeing), Taha Hinengaro (mental and emotional wellbeing), Taha Wairua (spiritual wellbeing), and Taha Whānau (social wellbeing). When one area is under strain, it can affect the balance of the whole.
Rather than seeing wellbeing as something to “fix,” it becomes a gentle practice of awareness. What needs attention right now, and how can I respond with kindness and strength?
We support balance and connection across all four dimensions of wellbeing.

What we practice, we strengthen.
Through small, repeated moments of awareness and kindness, we begin to relate to ourselves differently. Over time, this becomes something we can return to, a quiet strength that is always available within us. Practice gently strengthening awareness, kindness, and care toward yourself, others and the world around you.
Compassionate Strength™ is informed by neuroscience, mindfulness, and self-compassion research.
