If you want to understand your gut microbes, then you need to understand more about the food you put in your mouth. To maximise wellbeing on a basic level the basic things to start with are:
try to eat 30 different foods per week which includes nuts, seeds and herbs
try to pick foods for their colours (includes dark chocolate, red wine)
try fermented foods every day
avoid ultra processed foods
