Kindness includes clarity, knowing where we begin, where we pause, and how we care for each other along the way. This guide sets out what we offer, what we don’t, and how we support a safe learning experience.

1. What We Offer

Kind Caller offers self-paced and gently guided in-app experiences in compassionate strength, self-kindness, and mindfulness. These journeys are designed to:
• Support reflection and everyday wellbeing
• Encourage calm, presence, and self-awareness
• Be welcoming and easy to engage with

2. What We Are Not

Kind Caller is not a health or mental health service under New Zealand law. We do not provide:

  • Counselling

  • Therapy

  • Clinical advice or diagnosis

  • Crisis support or intervention

We are not a replacement for medical care or therapeutic support.

3. About Kind Guides

A Kind Guide (also called a Kind Caller) supports your learning and reflection through guided practices. They are non-clinical facilitators here to help you explore self-kindness and mindfulness and compassionate strength at your own pace.

4. Emergency Support

If at any time you feel overwhelmed or unsure about your wellbeing, please reach out to professional support:
📞 1737 – Free 24/7 mental health support (NZ)
📞 111 – Emergency services

5. Cultural Safety & Honouring Te Ao Māori

We recognise wellbeing as holistic.

Kind Caller is informed by Te Whare Tapa Whā and encourages you to draw on your own whānau, cultural, or community supports in ways that feel right for you.

We respect the diversity of voices and experiences within Te Ao Māori and across all cultures. Our intention is to create an inclusive space for growth, connection, and care.

6. Choosing to Participate

By joining Kind Caller, you:
• Understand this is a non-clinical, self-paced learning experience
• Know you can seek professional support if needed
• Participate at your own pace and follow what feels right for you

7. Confidentiality (Guided Sessions)

For sessions with a Kind Guide:

  • You are under no pressure to share anything personal

  • All sharing is voluntary, and should feel safe for you

  • In rare cases where someone may be at risk of harm, we may encourage connection with appropriate support

8. Privacy & Data

We take your privacy seriously and only collect the information we need to support your experience. We never share your personal data without your clear consent.

For more detail, read our Privacy Policy

9. Emotional Boundaries and Self-pacing

Kind Caller encourages gentle engagement. You’re free to move at your own pace, pause at any time, and revisit content when it feels right. There is no expectation to complete everything.

10. Age Requirements

Our journeys are created for adults 18 years and older.
