Before you begin your journey, please take a moment to read the following.

Kind Caller offers educational, self-guided journeys and experiences via the Living Gently app, focused on self-kindness, mindfulness, compassion, reflection, and gentle daily practices. Our practices encourage you to slow down and care for yourself by cultivating care, awareness and compassionate strength. Living Gently doesn’t mean stepping back or giving up. It’s a kind and intentional way to move through your day with gentle strength for yourself and others.

This guide explains the different pathways to begin your practice.

1. Who Living Gently Is For

Living Gently is an app-based journey designed for individuals who:

  • Are emotionally steady and are not in crisis

  • Are open to reflective, self-paced experiences

  • Are open to learning values-based and mindfulness-informed practices

  • Want to build everyday self-care habits that support self-awareness

Living Gently is not a mental health or clinical service. If you’re unsure whether it’s the right fit, we recommend checking in with a qualified health professional.

2. Purpose of This Guide

This guide exists to help:

  • Individuals decide if a Kind Caller Living Gently journey feels right for them

  • Groups in the community understand how to share it appropriately

  • All participants understand the self-paced, non-clinical nature of the experience

3. Why Kind Caller?

Kind Caller is:

  • Non-clinical & safe – no diagnoses, pressure, or labels

  • Self-paced & private – designed for solo reflection

  • Relational – grounded in compassion and care

  • Educational – built around self-kindness, inner and outer connection

  • Holistically aligned – informed by Te Whare Tapa Whā and relational wellbeing

Whether you’re starting this journey yourself or helping others find their way to it, Kind Caller offers a safe learning space.

For Groups

5. How Groups Can Share Living Gently

If you're part of a group, you're welcome to share Living Gently withing your group, including clients, whānau, staff, or members.

Here’s how it works:

Let us know you'd like to share Living Gently with them, simply book a 20 minute free call (visit Group Subscription on the homepage) or click here.

  2. Share a Group Code with Care
We’ll provide a group invitation code for sharing. There's no need to formally refer anyone or track who joins.

  3. Individuals Join when they’re ready
Individuals can sign up to Living Gently using your invitation code. Their participation is voluntary and remains fully private and self-guided.

An invitation code is not a referral or clinical pathway, it’s simply a way to let us know who helped share the invitation.

6. What an Invitation Code Is (and Isn’t)

An invitation code is:

  • Is a simple word or phrase that identifies your group

  • Doesn’t require logins or technical setup

  • Doesn’t allow access to participant info

  • Helps us understand how people found us

What it’s not:

  • A referral in the clinical or legal sense

  • A professional endorsement

  • Linked to regulated health services

7. What’s in the Book a Call Request Form

  • Individual Contact Details

    • Name

    • Email

  • Group Details

  • Group or organisation name (optional).

  • How did you hear about Kind Caller: Living Gently?

  • When you submit this form you will be sent a verification code from Google to complete your appointment booking.

You’ll receive confirmation of the appointment and a ‘ready to go’ link to join the call at the time you booked. A Kind Caller (mindfulness facilitator) will contact you at the booked time to discuss which practice plan may be suited to your group’s needs.
